Private Practice Toolkit

This short and informative online module provides an overview of hosting students in a private practice context. Common misconceptions about preceptorship are discussed along with a review of the curriculum and training schedule for the Master of Physical Therapy program. The specific skills and knowledge that clinical educators can expect from students at various points through the program are outlined. 

Highlights include: 

      • Dispelling myths about taking a student on placement
      • Supervision models (e.g. one student : one supervisor, multiple students : one supervisor, and one student : multiple supervisors)
