Clinical Educator Workshops

Clinical Educator Workshops are held numerous times per year throughout the province and online (*due to COVID-19 all workshops are currently virtual*). Our workshops are designed for those who are considering or new to, supervising students, or for those who would like a refresher.

Workshops provide an overview of:

      • The Master of Physical Therapy program
      • Goals of clinical education, including the clinical settings and services covered by student placements
      • Principles of adult learning
      • Expectations of a Clinical Educator
      • Expectations of students as they progress through the program
      • Setting learning objectives
      • Facilitation of learning, reflection and clinical reasoning
      • Providing feedback and assessing student performance
      • Identifying and addressing potential areas of concern

Workshops can be delivered in-person or online and we offer various options, such as full-day (six hours) or condensed (usually 2-3 hours). We can also coordinate an evening condensed workshop, if requested. Customized workshops (e.g., site-specific) are also available upon request. Please email for more information.
