Richmond Hospital, with 175 beds, is a large community hospital serving the needs of residents in Richmond, Delta, as well as travelers using the Vancouver International Airport and BC Ferries. Services provided at Richmond Hospital include Emergency, Ambulatory Care, Diagnostics, Intensive Care, Coronary Care, Maternity, Psychiatry and Surgery.

The hospital provides a number of different services with Physiotherapists that are highly skilled in a wide variety or areas including but not limited to: Plastic Surgery, Critical Care, Reconstructive Orthopedics, Ortho/Trauma, General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Urology/Gynaecology, Neurology, CardioRespiratory, Cardiac, Medicine, Emergency, Outpatient Orthopedics, Hand Therapy.

Learning opportunities include working in interdisciplinary setting with wide variety of caseload. Specific learning opportunities will vary depending on the ward student will be based on. All areas will include history-taking, assessment, treatment, exercise prescription and progression, discharge planning and liaising with other professions.
