Welcome message from site

Lions Gate Hospital physiotherapists and rehabilitation assistants welcome UBC PT students!

We include all of you in our education opportunities such as medical rounds and department in-services. We encourage you to ask questions and support you in exploring new areas of practice. We have well equipped rehab areas throughout the hospital including modalities, bariatric and body weight support equipment.

We try to provide opportunities for you to observe surgeries, attend patient preoperative programs and join in our social occasions - we are renowned for our birthday, shower and pot luck celebrations with our multicultural staff! Share your culinary expertise with us as a bonus opportunity, as you apply your evidence-based practice physiotherapy skills.

We are also an energetic active group and with the North Shore mountains on our doorstep you'll find us on the snowy slopes in winter and hiking the trails in summer. Always some form of recreational activity happening all year.

Many students who have placements at Lions Gate Hospital, are keen to join our staff following graduation!
