Application Fees
All applicants are required to pay an online application fee to the UBC Faculty of Graduate and Post-doctoral Studies and a supplementary application fee directly to the Department of Physical Therapy when submitting an online application to the Master of Physical Therapy program.
Application fees are based on your citizenship at the time of application. You may be required to provide proof of Canadian citizenship or Permanent Residency.
Tuition & Student Fees
For the most current information about tuition fees, please refer to the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies website. The Master of Physical Therapy is a 26-month program, and the tuition fees are split over seven installments. Please review the UBC Academic Calendar for the most up-to-date information about tuition installments.
Please note, the seventh and final tuition installment payment is due in September of your final year. It is a full payment and includes standard AMS fees, Medical/Dental, and other student fees. An eight installment payment due in January following your program completion will appear in Workday Student. This payment is automatically removed after the UBC Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies approves your program completion.
All graduate students at UBC are required to pay student fees which help cover costs of resources available to students.
Program Fees
Applicants must pay a non-refundable deposit fee of CAD $1000.00 before accepting their offer. The deposit will be credited toward the first tuition installment payment.
All MPT students will also pay a program fee of approximately $1300 at the commencement of their program to cover various fees such as an immunization review, criminal record check, lab fees, student accident insurance, and student kit.
