What is the most rewarding part of your job?
One of the most rewarding parts of my job is being able to work with a team of health professionals to provide comprehensive and holistic care to our clients. We have the privilege to connect with a diverse set of clients with a range of rehabilitation needs. Our profession is multifaceted, and I can engage with my clients in different ways. I have time to listen and support my clients.
Why does physiotherapy matter?
As a physiotherapist, we can provide a meaningful impact in a client’s daily life. We are advocates, facilitators, promoters, and educators for clients to support independence, safety, growth and health.
What drew you to physical therapy?
I have always been an active individual. I have always wanted to create an impact in my small community. Physiotherapy created an outlet for me to support my community by not just being a physiotherapist but an educator and advocate for change.
What is one thing we might be surprised to learn about you?
I was a member of the Canadian National Team for mountain biking along with being a Junior national and Pan-American champion. Sports allowed me to travel the world.
