UBC PT Welcomes Angelina Woof – Associate Head of Clinical Education

We are very excited to have Angelina Woof join the Department of Physical Therapy as the new Associate Head of Clinical Education. The Associate Head of Clinical Education provides leadership for clinical education for the Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) students.

As well as providing leadership to our exceptional clinical education team, and ensuring students are supported during placement, Angelina will be responsible for developing strategies to support preceptors and clinical sites in providing clinical placements, for innovative capacity building (particularly for underserved geographic and physiotherapy service areas throughout BC), and for providing leadership to the Physical Therapy and Research Clinic at UBC.

Angelina joined the BC Centre for Ability in 2008 where she focused on early intervention and provided family-centred care in a community-based healthcare context, and became their leader of physiotherapy in April 2021.

Angelina has previously worked with the Department of Physical Therapy as a Clinical Evaluator of Neuromuscular Disease at BC Children’s Hospital. Her research collected primary endpoint data in controlled trials in pediatric and adult neuromuscular disease.

“My favourite thing about being a physio has been the teaching component. This new role is a combination of all things that I enjoy: research, leadership and teaching. All of my work has culminated in those three things.”
