Clinical Assistant Professor, Chiara Singh wins the Silver Quill Award

The Canadian Physiotherapy Association awards Chiara Singh with the 2013 Silver Quill Award to honour excellence in scientific writing in Physiotherapy Canada for an article: ‘The Effect of Prospective Monitoring and Early Physiotherapy Intervention on Arm Morbidity Following Surgery for Breast Cancer: A Pilot Study’, Volume 65, 2nd Edition, Spring 2013.  Assistant Professor Kristin Campbell was senior author on this paper and funding for this study was provided in part by the Physiotherapy Foundation of Canada. Physiotherapists from the Fraser Health Authority in British Columbia (Anna Ogden, Melissa Idle, Janessa Simpson, and Margaret Chafe) assisted on this study by completing the assessments at the clinical sites.

Kristin and Chiara are continuing this line of research with funding, in part,  from the Department and are now conducting a pilot randomized controlled trial (RCT) with planned recruitment of 40 subjects.
