Tendinopathy Toolkit extends its reach

The Tendinopathy Toolkit (click to visit the toolkit), developed as a resource for treatment of Achilles tendinopathy, continues to expand its influence! Currently, the Toolkit is available on this site, the PABC site as well as the Physiopedia website http://www.physio-pedia.com/Achilles_Tendinopathy_Toolkit – an internationally accessible website for physiotherapy related resources. Since being loaded onto these sites last summer it has been viewed by over 2500 times. It is also soon to be available on the British Journal of Sports Medicine website and in partnership with Physiopedia, it is being developed into a app which will be available for free to a worldwide audience.

Since its release it has been presented as a PABC webinar, with case histories highlighting how to use it to inform clinical practice, to approximately 60 attendees and to approximately 300 GPs at the UBC Continuing Medical Education “CME on the Run”.  During the International Scientific Tendinopathy Symposium, hosted by Alex Scott, approximately 100 attendees from 11 countries were introduced to this clinical tool.

The Tendinopathy Task Force is currently developing a similar toolkit for management of tendinopathy of the lateral epicondyle.
