Professor Emeritus, Susan Harris, along with other Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy faculty members as well as clinicians and people with osteoporosis partnered to elucidate the role of exercise in the rehabilitation process for osteoporotic patients who have suffered a fracture. The team published two articles in 2011 and in 2012 one of these articles was cited in the New England Journal of Medicine.
This project was highlighted by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) to demonstrate high quality research done with an integrated knowledge translation approach supported by CIHR. Read more on the CIHR website
