Graduate student Sarah Neil along with Department of Physical Therapy faculty members, Kristin Campbell and Jayne Garland provide insight into the cause of cancer related fatigue. Results of their study, ‘Cardiorespiratory and neuromuscular deconditioning in fatigued and non-fatigued breast cancer survivors’ were recently published in Supportive Care in Cancer. Their findings support the hypothesis that cardiorespiratory deconditioning may play a role in the development and persistence of cancer-related fatigue following treatment.
