Patient population description:

ABI (including Stroke), SCI, MS, ALS, Arthritis, NeuroMusculoskeletal conditions such as multitrauma, burns, MS, Guillain–Barré and Post-transplant patients.

Physiotherapist expertise on site (special interests, degrees, certificates, etc.):

Physiotherapists provide expertise in a number of rehab areas including Stroke, Acquired Brain Injury, Arthritis, NMS, Spinal Cord Injury, Amputee - to name a few.

These types of learning opportunities may be available at this site:

Learning opportunites include working with patients in a rehab setting. Skills include history-taking, assessment, treatment, exercise prescription and progression, discharge planning and liaising with other professions. The specific learning opportunity will depend on the unit the student is assigned to. GF Strong has a strong emphasis on equipment prescription in their programs. Most programs make use of our hydrotherapy pool, and also offer outpatient, day programs and inpatient services.
