Award Winning Total Joint Arthroplasty Outcome Measures Toolkit

Clinical Associate Professor and Arthritis Health Professions Association member, Dr. Marie Westby, and the Total Joint Arthroplasty Outcomes Measures (TJAOM) Toolkit team will be awarded the Arthritis Health Professions Association’s Clinical Innovations Award at the 2016 Annual Conference in Lake Louise Alberta on February 19, 2016. The AHPA Clinical Innovation Award was created to recognize AHPA members who have designed and implemented an innovative clinical project or related initiative that benefits the lives of Canadians living with arthritis. This award will showcase clinical initiatives, including those that assess, treat, educate or otherwise support people living with arthritis in new and innovative ways.

The purpose of the toolkit is to provide clinicians with outcome measures appropriate for use along the continuum of care for patients before and after total joint arthroplasty. This toolkit was developed by a large multidisciplinary team:

The online modules that are the final piece of this toolkit are soon to be released and have been accepted as a workshop at upcoming CPA Congress 2016 in Victoria.
