The first and second year masters of Physical Therapy students have a team for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society’s Relay for Life event, which is a fundraising event that will take place on March 15th, 2013. As a team, they will be raising money to support research and treatment for cancer, and will participate in a 12 hour relay at Life Sciences Center. Team members will be taking turns walking around the track for the 12 hours straight (7pm-7am), there will be at least one person walking at all times. The continuous walking overnight is a way to represent and raise awareness of how cancer affecting lives of patients never sleeps; they can never have a break from this disease.
The team hopes to be able to fund-raise at least $1000 to help n the support of cancer research and treatment.
