Awards, Scholarships and Grants

Each year, the Department provides current students with a list of available awards and detailed instructions on how to apply at the end of Winter Term 2. The Awards Committee examines each candidate’s application and allocates the prizes accordingly.

With internally administered awards, the UBC Awards office informs recipients and distributes the funds. With externally administered awards, the chair of the Department Awards Committee informs donors and recipients of the committee’s decision and ensures a mechanism by which funds are distributed.
