Student Activities: Acute medical condition intervention, diagnosis, interdisciplinary collaboration, early management, transitional programs, reporting. Usual weekly schedule is either Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday.

Case Types: Full systems, multi organ involvement requiring acute medical care. Unit composed of patients whose admitting diagnoses such as Pneumonia, COPD exacerbation, stroke, TIA, heart attack, change in mental status, etc.
