The Seniors Outpatient Clinic is a wonderful place for a placement, to learn about rehabilitation approaches for seniors and to learn about Falls Prevention. Our physiotherapists are very experienced in providing excellent assessment and treatment for seniors to maximize mobility and function in an interprofessional setting. Most of our seniors attend group exercise classes 2x weekly.

- Seniors - generally 70+ years.
Falls risk prevention is the primary focus for this program.
- Frailty, deconditioning and multiple medical problems are common with this group.
- Cognitive impairment is also common - but primarily the clients seen in the clinic would be mildly impaired - need to be able to safely participate.
Physiotherapist expertise on site (special interests, degrees, certificates, etc.):
- Falls Risk Assessment.
- FallProof Certification.
- High and low level balance assessment and treatment.
- Group exercise.
- Re-conditioning.
- Mobility device provision.
