Welcome message from site

The Comox Valley Child Development Association is a friendly active site. The caseload is a busy caseload, and often requires flexibility around breaks, and lunch. The region that is covered by the CDC is from Fanny Bay (south) to Black Creek (north), Hornby Island (west), and Cumberland (east). Since many visits are home visit, transportation from the CDC to home visit is provided by the therapist. Students are responsible for their own transportation to the CDC. There is an area for bicycles to be locked up, if students choose to ride to work.

The Comox Valley includes Courtenay, Comox, and Cumberland. All three communities together have a population of about 27,000. It is a great place for students to enjoy outdoor activities. There is also an very active music, and arts community. Since the Comox Valley is on the coast, the weather often includes rain.
