Darlene Redenbach retires

cropped-Darlene_Redenbach_photo2693.jpgThe Department bids a fond farewell to Dr. Darlene Redenbach, a colleague, friend, mentor, and educator.  Darlene has made significant contributions to our program as well as to other UBC departments and institutions globally.  Her research initially focused on cell injury but she became interested in teaching and learning in higher education and she took on more classroom teaching in the program.  She was among the first at UBC to offer a fully online course. Her service to the University included membership in the Instructional Skills Workshop team for the Centre for Teaching and Learning Technology where she also served as a certified facilitator for Instructional Skills Workshops and coordinator for interdisciplinary peer evaluation. In 2009 she was awarded the University Killam Teaching Prize in recognition of her excellence in teaching.

We wish Darlene a long and happy retirement.
