MPT student to present at international arthritis conference.

Graduating Master of Physical Therapy student, April Leung, will be busy this November.  Not only will she be receiving her diploma but on November 13, 2012 she will also be presenting the work she completed during her five-week research placement with Dr. Linda Li.  “Accuracy of Sensewear MiniTM and Actigraph GT3XTM Accelerometers for Differentiating Sedentary and Light Physical Activities in a Controlled Laboratory Setting”.

The American College of Rheumatology Meeting is the biggest meeting in the world for arthritis research. Rejection rate for abstracts is extremely high, and only the top abstracts get accepted for oral presentations.

This is an exceptional achievement for someone to complete an analysis and submit an abstract in a placement with a duration of only five weeks!
