Teresa Liu-Ambrose, Assistant Professor, is one of five investigators in Canada named a Heart and Stroke Foundation New Investigator. These awards provide support for Canada’s best young researchers. Dr. Liu-Ambrose will be investigating the “Role of exercise on cognition and function in vascular cognitive impairment.” She also received the Recognition Prize in Research on Aging from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. The CIHR-IA New Investigator Research Recognition Prize in Research on Aging encourages and honours CIHR’s brightest rising stars and is awarded to the applicant who has received the highest rating through the Fall 2010 New Investigator competition.
