The Centre for Excellence in Indigenous Health is pleased to announce our first annual Aboriginal Health Sciences Pre-Admissions Workshop!
Date: July 12th and 13th, 2016
Location: UBC Vancouver Campus
This 2-day workshop is designed to help students learn about the admissions process at UBC, financing their education, give them experience with team based learning, the MMI and interview process used in many health science admissions processes, and to get to know the UBC Vancouver campus, and the people and facilities that we have to support students as they pursue their education.
Anyone aged 18+ at the time of the workshop who is of Aboriginal ancestry (First Nations including Status and non-Status, Inuit and Métis) and is interested in any area of health science is welcome to attend. You do not need to be a current UBC or university student to attend.
All meals and accommodations will be covered for the duration of the workshop.
There is funding for travel available, but funds are limited and are available on a first come, first serve basis.
